While we were still sinners. In our suffering. Through our weakness. During our darkest times. He loved us FIRST. 

On a day shrouded by chocolates, heart-shaped everything, and Cupid's bow, remember the true example of unfaltering and unwavering love, which is only that of Jesus Christ Himself. There are many examples of Christ's love for His people throughout the bible; here are a few to grasp onto today.

"Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love." 

1 John 4:8

"So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love."

1 Corinthians 13:13

"Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends."

John 15:3

"The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; His mercies never come to an end..."

Lamentations 3:22

The greatest example that we have of TRUE love is our God sending His only son to die for us on the cross. This sort of sacrificial and thoughtful love is not something we see today- people of this world can be so selfish and hateful, that the thought of a sacrifice like this is almost unimaginable. Maybe you are feeling the wrath of peoples' imperfections today, on the day that is supposed to be filled with love. Maybe instead of feeling cherished and adored today, you feel even more lonely and unlovable than you did the day before.

If this is you, we want to remind you that YOU are God's beloved. When He sent His son to the cross, it was with YOU in mind. You are the single sheep He would leave the 99 for. He is your shepherd, and through Him you lack nothing!

Take hope in this today friends, and know that you are so so loved. By us, too!
