I will call them My people, who were not My people, and her beloved, who was not beloved. - Romans 9:25

So many times my heart has shattered knowing that no matter how hard we fight for the lives of babies, they still die. Sin still has a firm grip on this world and babies are still being aborted. It's so easy to get overwhelmed by all of the evil here and allow it to knock us down thinking that everything is useless, but this verse has brought us so much hope. He will call her/him beloved who was not beloved.  All of the babies who have been unloved and thrown to the side will be LOVED. For He calls them his beloved. They will know their Abba and will forever know the love of the Father.

God's goodness is stronger than any evil in this world and his will and purpose prevails. 

When hard pressed, I cried to the Lord; he brought me into a spacious place. the LORD is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? The LORD is with me; He is my helper. I look in triumph on my enemies. It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in humans. Psalm 118:5-9

I read this verse thinking about an unborn baby that has had their life taken away and sobbed. The LORD is WITH them! He has not forsaken them. He has heard their cry and seen their pain and He has been faithful to deliver them. What can human beings do to them now? Their refuge is in God and God alone.

It's so comforting to know that even when we loose battles, we still haven't really lost because Jesus redeems our losses. We fight to preserve the lives of unborn babies but when that isn't even enough, God holds the fight and dictates the victor. We are victorious through Christ who loves us and calls us beloved.
