Keeping Watch Art - Hand-Painted or Printed

Inspired by Luke 2:8, "And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night," this piece shows a lone shepherd with his staff standing on a rocky hillside as his sheep rest around him. Above him a vast blue sky is filled with stars on the quiet night before the angels came. Into ordinary, faithful work, God sent the greatest news the world has ever heard. This painting is a daily reminder that the Savior came for ordinary people like us, and the good news of His birth still reaches us right where we are.

Each painting utilizes the highest quality Giclee printing on museum-grade paper. If you select hand-painted, it will include hand strokes from the original artist.

Both paintings, whether painted or printed, are hand-made by the original artist, who signs each piece, reflecting his commitment to bring you timeless Christ-centered art.

What is the Hand-Painted Option? Each hand-painted piece is one-of-a-kind, first printed using a museum-grade paper using a museum-grade printing process. Once the print is completed, the original artist hand-embellishes each print using high-quality acrylic paints and gel medium. This process involves adding textured brushstrokes and highlights to the print, meticulously following the contours and color variations of the original painting. The result is hand-signed & hand-painted, bridging the gap between the print-only option and the original painting, offering a textural and visual richness that elevates the original artwork.

What is the Print-Only Option? Each art print is created using a state-of-the-art Giclee printing technique, which offers one of the highest degrees of accuracy and richness of color available in printmaking techniques. This process ensures a reproduction that is virtually indistinguishable from the original artwork. Once complete, it is hand-signed by the original artist.
