With every purchase, you are helping to fund a raid to rescue girls from sex trafficking.
AIM conducts rescue operations in collaboration with and in support of local law enforcement in Cambodia, never independently. Their method involves a careful process of intelligence gathering, investigation, and legal coordination to ensure all operations are lawful, leading to successful prosecutions and comprehensive victim support.
To date, these collaborative efforts have resulted in over 180 raids and the rescue of more than 1,700 girls.
Once rescued, survivors begin a holistic recovery journey rooted in love and practical action. AIM's philosophy centers on expressing the "agape love" of Jesus through tangible support, believing this is a powerful force against the evil of sex trafficking. This approach combines practical action, loving service, and intentional support to meet every need.
- Secure Housing and Nurturing Environment: Survivors live in undisclosed, guard-secured residences with "house moms" who provide immediate emotional support and a stable, family-like environment. The living spaces are designed to be calming and therapeutic, aiding the healing process.
- Physical and Medical Care: AIM provides essential healthcare services, including an onsite medical clinic, ensuring all physical needs are met.
- Trauma-Informed Counseling: Licensed clinicians and trauma-informed counselors offer individual and group therapy sessions. Many of the social workers are themselves survivors, providing a unique "bridge of understanding" and powerful peer support.
- Education and Life Skills Training: Survivors can enroll in a tailored education program and receive training in essential life skills. This component is crucial for building independence and self-confidence.
- Vocational Training and Employment: AIM offers job training programs and, in some cases, provides safe employment opportunities at the AIM Employment Center or through their "Survivor-Made" apparel line. This ensures survivors have marketable skills for a living wage and are less vulnerable to re-trafficking.
- Spiritual Counseling and Discipleship: As a faith-based organization, AIM integrates spiritual support and biblical counseling, with the intention that survivors "come to know their worth and value in Christ".
- Legal Advocacy: AIM's legal team works closely with survivors from rescue through prosecution of their traffickers, helping them navigate the complex legal system and achieve justice.
- Reintegration Support: The process culminates in reintegration into the community. AIM stays in touch with reintegrated individuals indefinitely to provide ongoing support and prevent them from returning to exploitation.
